RTWT Lead Trainer

RT Workplace Training Inc. (RTWT) offers two broad categories of training: (1) training for HR professionals, managers, internal counsel and others who conduct investigations, on workplace investigations and related topics; and (2) respect at work and related training for employees across many different industry sectors, including financial institutions, professional service firms, universities and colleges, school boards, unions, policing, transportation and law firms. RTWT is seeking an experienced trainer and facilitator to deliver training on both categories of training, develop and update training content, and train the team of trainers. Training sessions are offered remotely and in-person so some travel will be required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, develop and deliver “off the shelf” and custom training initiatives to its diverse client base
  • Identify enhancements that can be made to the training programs and the learning environments and, in conjunction with the RTWT training team, create new training programs and content to further enhance RTWT’s training offerings
  • Identify new training opportunities and ways to promote RTWT externally
  • In conjunction with the RTWT training team, and where needed, provide quotes and proposals on all training inquiries
  • Oversee the successful execution of any training session delivered
  • Review feedback after each training session and implement that feedback as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships and identify and anticipate their ongoing training needs
  • Where appropriate, collect testimonials from clients for marketing and website purposes
  • Regularly check RTWT website to ensure the training content is current
  • Actively participate in the recruitment, onboarding and training of new trainers, as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to you by the Partners and Chief Operating Officer in accordance with your role and function

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Post Secondary diploma/degree, preferably in the areas of human rights, human
    resources, law, labour relations and/or adult education
  • A minimum of five (5) years of training and facilitation experience across a wide
    range of industries
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in issues related to workplace sensitivity and
    harassment
  • Experience with workplace investigations
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure a connection with, and positive impact on,
    clients
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations
  • Strong knowledge of technology – Office 365, Microsoft (Word, Excel,
    PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Adobe Pro
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in written communication and training
    materials
  • Demonstrated emotional maturity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Positive attitude and proven team player
  • Proficiency in French and English is an asset

Training Assistant

Training Assistant

RT Workplace Training Inc. offers two broad categories of training: (1) training for HR professionals, managers, internal counsel, and others who conduct investigations, on workplace investigations and related topics; and (2) respect at work and related training for employees within organizations. Training sessions are offered remotely and in-person.

The core function of the training assistant is to provide support during live, online training sessions. The assistant will assist our facilitators, training coordinators, and participants during live online sessions.

Responsibilities include:

Online Training Support:

  • Organize all materials and prepare for online training sessions in advance, including:
    • Confirming any changes to the materials with the facilitator
    • Arranging for delivery of the training materials to the participants
    • Circulating the online link for training sessions and confirming any other online logistics in advance
  • Support online training sessions hosted on Zoom and Microsoft Teams, including:
    • Sharing materials onscreen during the live session
    • Provide IT support to participants as needed
    • Set up and monitor breakout rooms for activities
    • Support the facilitator during live demonstrations using the built-in platform tools (whiteboard, stamps, etc.)
    • Assist the facilitator in communicating to participants via the “chat” function
    • Send participants handouts and materials (via email) at the direction of the facilitators

Training Tasks:

  • Collect shipping details from participants to ship items after sessions (books, gift cards)
  • Send workshop completion certificates to participants at the end of the session (if applicable)
  • Maintain Advanced Certificate database and send corresponding certificates to attendees
  • Prepare post-evaluation surveys for public and in-house training sessions
  • Maintain approvals for Continuing Professional Development courses from different jurisdictions (for public training, webinars, and internal CPD sessions)
  • For off-site training sessions, assist with the distribution of training support materials, including emailing, shipping, and printing of materials
  • Manage new subscribers and update marketing analytics reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned to you by the Training Coordinator and Training Manager in accordance with your role and function

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Comfortable using online training platforms (Zoom and Microsoft Teams)
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a multi-tasking environment with an understanding of deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Proven team player
