About Ejodamen (“Elsie”) Ikhariale
What drives Elsie in her workplace investigations is a keen interest in understanding what motivates people at work. She is experienced in addressing workplace complaints with both employers and employees. Elsie enjoys assembling the facts in each situation to develop a concise and impartial narrative that assists in understanding what has disrupted the workplace. As part of this, she can effectively sort through often complicated and complex cases, and is adept at balancing competing priorities and liaising with all parties in a matter to reduce the impact of what are often highly sensitive issues.
Expertise & Services
At Rubin Thomlinson, Elsie conducts a wide range of workplace investigations, including those related to sexual harassment, gender-based discrimination, bullying, and other problematic behaviour. She has a particular expertise in conducting culturally responsive and trauma-informed investigations, and has extensive knowledge of workplace laws and legislations, all of which guides her work to ensure that her investigations are legally sound and defensible.
Background
Before joining Rubin Thomlinson, Elsie was a human rights investigator at a large public district school board. Here she conducted investigations on behalf of the organization’s Human Rights Office into complaints received from students, teachers, and administrative staff.
