At Rubin Thomlinson, Angela conducts a range of workplace investigations, including those related to human rights, harassment, and a range of workplace misconduct. She also has particular expertise in conducting investigations concerning sexual assault and sexual harassment, and she is trained in a trauma-informed approach to investigations. With vast experience dealing with both parties in all types of matters, including highly sensitive matters, she maintains a level of neutrality, and she approaches all parties in an investigation with fairness and equity.
Background
Angela began her legal career as a criminal defence lawyer, involved in high profile litigation and large case files. This high-stakes atmosphere involved in-depth examinations and cross-examinations, compiling high volumes of evidence, and conducting complex legal research. More recently, Angela has focused on sexual assault and sexual harassment matters, developing an expertise in the areas of sexual consent and harassment.
In addition to her legal experience, Angela has also spent time volunteering with various non-profit organizations and foundations, including Innocence Canada and Lawyers Feed the Hungry.
