About Dana J. Campbell-Stevens

Dana J. Campbell-Stevens is a Partner at Rubin Thomlinson. With over 10 years of combined experience in Ontario and the Caribbean and a background in litigation and mediation, Dana has excellent investigative and fact-finding skills, along with the ability to handle emotionally-charged situations. She takes pride in being fair and respectful and remains impartial and objective regardless of the matter she is investigating. This approach inspires the trust and confidence of all sides, creating a comfortable environment where everyone feels free to share relevant information. Dana finds it particularly satisfying when she can help clients turn problems or conflicts into workplace improvements, or when a proper investigation helps clients avoid litigation.

Expertise & Services

Dana’s expertise is in conducting racial discrimination investigations, mediations, and workplace restoration processes that are triggered by complex issues in the workplace. She is also experienced in conducting workplace assessments involving issues of systemic and individual racial discrimination, and has done extensive work for various clients across Canada, including secondary and post-secondary institutions, medical institutions, and corporate and non-profit organizations. In addition to this, Dana conducts training sessions to educate clients and the public on workplace issues and resolution processes, including workplace restoration, investigating race-based cases, and conducting trauma-informed investigations. Dana’s combined experience as a litigator, investigator, trainer, and dispute resolution professional allows her to assist and support clients with navigating highly complex and sensitive matters that arise in the workplace.

Dana also leads a team of investigators at Rubin Thomlinson. In this capacity, she oversees investigations across a wide range of subject areas including sexual misconduct and harassment.

Community Involvement

Dana has a long track record of volunteer work, including mentoring at-risk youth and serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Anguilla Red Cross.

Background

Before joining Rubin Thomlinson, Dana worked in employment law representing clients in termination, compensation, and human rights matters. She also has experience in regulatory compliance, civil litigation, real estate law, and alternative dispute resolution.
